Meet Sean Blair
My aim is to use my personal experience of living with cancer and my knowledge of exercise and diet to help as many people as possible through their own journeys. Exercise alone isn't the silver bullet for cancer but we now know how beneficial it can be on the physical and mental health of those living with a diagnosis. I want to grow U Can to the point where I am helping people across the globe to benefit through exercise and good diet.
I was diagnosed with Stage 4 Hodgkin's Lymphoma in 2016. At the time I was a personal trainer and competitive powerlifter, competing at events across the country. After my diagnosis, my consultant advised me to avoid strenuous activity and to rest as much as possible. Over the next three years of treatment, I lost 40kg, a lot of strength and confidence in myself.
I wish I had known then what I do now, that physical activity has an important part to play in the health outcomes - both physical and mental - of those living with cancer. I founded U Can in order to reach as many people as possible and to spread the benefits of physical activity for those affected by cancer.
